Three-star combo guard Chris Giles is enjoying an excellent season at Findlay Prep. The Texas native is showing what he is capable of on one of the best teams in the nation, and continues to have significant recruiting attention.
“This year is going pretty well,” said Giles of his senior season. “We have started out strong, and we are trying to keep our foot on the gas as the season keeps going.”
About his game individually, Giles said, “I am working on my spot up shooting. We have another good point guard, so I play on and off the ball, which allows us to feed off of each other and be free to knock down shot.”
When it comes to his recruitment, Giles continues to hear from several top schools.
About Oklahoma, Giles said, “My dad played there, so that is really good. I have a good relationship with Coach (Lon) Kruger and Coach (Chris) Crutchfield. They have been recruiting me for a while, and I like how they use their guards.”
Also things remain steady with TCU, which saw Giles this past weekend at the Cancer Research Classic.
“I know Coach (Ryan) Miller really well,” noted Giles of the Horned Frogs. “He used to be at UNLV, and him and my dad have a really good relationship, so I am considering them heavily.”
For now Giles is in no hurry to make a commitment and wants to take his visits first.
When asked what he is looking for in a school, Giles said, “I am just looking for a place where I can play right away, either as a starter or off the bench. Also I want to go to a place where I just feel comfortable with the coaches and the players.”
