Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman wing Jamal Bey was among the juniors that raised their level of play at the always loaded Hoophall Classic.
Bey, a 6-foot-6 slender wing prospect, is a quality athlete that played with energy and made multiple three-pointers off the catch.
“Playing really hard,” Bey said when asked about his strengths. “I’m not caring about shots falling and stuff like that, just playing defense and everything goes good.”
Currently a three-star prospect, Bey certainly showed signs of improvement and with his size, length and ability to score, there’s a good reason college coaches have begun tracking him closely.
Thus far USC, Arizona State, Nevada, UNLV and San Diego State are the schools that have offered him a scholarship. The only unofficial visit he’s taken has been to UNLV.
“It’s just right there,” he said. “They called me down to just come in real quick.”
Bey said he doesn’t want to make his college decision until next year.
