Class of 2019 forward Trayce Jackson-Davis recently saw his stock rise and landed his first high-major offer. Jackson-Davis is a long and athletic power forward who is just now tapping into his potential.
About his sophomore season, Jackson-Davis said, “We are starting to play better as a team, and we are starting to win more and come together, so it is going well.”
He continued about the year, “I am working on posting up harder, going to the glass every time, sprinting back on defense, and things like that.”
On the recruiting trail several programs are beginning to take notice and show interest in Jackson-Davis.
Recently Purdue became the first high-major school to offer Jackson-Davis, and it was a big deal for him to get that offer.
“It was a great surprise, and I really liked the offer,” said Jackson-Davis. “I don’t know that much about the school, but I am learning more. It is just great to have an offer from them and it is only going to make me work harder.”
The offer from Purdue came following an unofficial visit to the school, a visit that Jackson-Davis said was excellent.
“It was great,” said Jackson-Davis of his time at Purdue. “I loved it. The fans were loud and into the game, and I just had a lot of fun.”
At the moment Jackson-Davis says his recruitment is just in the beginning stages and he is focused on getting better and making more visits.
