Versatile 2017 forward Donnie Tillman commits to Utah

Donnie Tillman committed to Utah on Wednesday, giving the Utes a commitment from a versatile 2017 prospect.

Utah added to it 2017 recruiting class on Wednesday with a commitment from Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep forward Donnie Tillman.

The 6-foot-7, 215-pound hybrid forward is a versatile athlete who will likely be able to play the three and the four at the next level.

For Tillman, choosing the Utes was easy.

"The people, the people, the people," Tillman told Scout. "They made it easy for me to call Utah my next home."

The coaching staff played a big role in Tillman committing to Utah.

"They were friendly and just truly believed in me and that I can make an instant impact," he said.

The Detroit native has high expectations in Utah.

"I really expect us to be one of the better teams in the Pac-12 with a possible deep tournament run in the future," Tillman said. "Especially with some of the core guys returning from this year's team, I think there is no limit with how good we be."

Tillman is an athletic forward who can hit threes, rebounds on both ends, has a physical approach to the game on both ends of the court and is a tough kid.

The three-star prospect joins Branden Carlson and Jaxon Brenchley in Utah's 2017 class.
