Two schools are standing out for four-star prospect Precious Achiuwa

Four-star forward Precious Achiuwa continues to improve his game, and two schools are showing him the most interest on the recruiting trail.

Four-star forward Precious Achiuwa is a prospect who continues to develop and improve. Achiuwa put his combination of athleticism and skill on display at the Metro Classic, and two schools are standing out right now on the recruiting trail.

At 6-foot-7 with high level athleticism, Achiuwa has a ton of upside. Now he is working to take his game to even another level.

“My focus right now is getting my teammates involved,” said Achiuwa of his season. “I know I can score the ball, but I want to do a better job of getting my teammates involved. I am trying to keep everybody happy, while also improving my dribbling and my jump shot.”

On the recruiting side of things, two schools are showing Achiuwa the most attention.

“I have scholarship offers from St. John's and Virginia Commonwealth,” said Achiuwa.

Achiuwa’s older brother, God’s Gift, played his basketball at St. John’s. Because of that he is very familiar with the school and staff.

About the Red Storm, Achiuwa said, “St. John’s is right there close to my house. I am very familiar with the environment. It is a good look because my brother went there. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff already.”

When it comes to VCU, he added, “My interest in VCU is very high. They play my kind of basketball. They play defense and they play hard, which is what I like. I feel like it could be a great situation for me.”

At the moment Achiuwa says that he isn’t close to making a decision, and that he remains open to other options. Still it is clear that at the moment the Red Storm and the Rams are showing him the most attention.
