Wing prospect Paul Mulcahy had a very impressive weekend at the Metro Classic and Primetime Shootout. The 6-foot-5 Mulcahy showed off his elite passing ability, and great feel for the game. Now colleges continue to pick things up on the recruiting trail with the 2019 prospect.
Already one of the best passers in his class, Mulcahy is working to become an even more dynamic offensive weapon this season.
“I think my shot has gotten better,” said Mulcahy. “I am just trying to stay more consistent now. I am getting better off the dribble, and now I am much better off the catch.”
On the recruiting trail Mulcahy has four offers.
The school that has been the most consistent recruiting Mulcahy to this point is Rutgers.
About the Scarlet Knights, Mulcahy said, “I like how Coach (Steve) Piekell is on rebuilding. He is big on keeping the New Jersey kids home and change the program that way. I just love the way he thinks about the future.”
While Mulcahy isn’t close to making a commitment, he does know that keeping local players home could be huge in getting things turned around at Rutgers.
“I think that would be real cool to have a bunch of New Jersey kids go to Rutgers and start something new and change the program,” said Mulcahy.
Look for Mulcahy to add many more offers as the year goes along. His elite passing ability and improved ability to make shots make him one of the more intriguing wings in the class of 2019, and someone college coaches will take a long look at.
