This weekend, Ratliff is on Xavier's campus. He'll be at Iowa the weekend of Sept. 20. Indiana, like previously stated, is the leader and he feels like there's not a big need to visit there officially. Notre Dame is in the fourth position but is working to get in the mix. Time is not on the Irish's side.
IU's spot on top is a direct result of its head coach. "Sitting down and talking with him … he's a real good guy but I also like Iowa and coach Alford."
Each school seems to be recruiting Ratliff for a slightly different position and that's kind of an oddity at this level. "Iowa wants me as a straight two with a little combo," Ratliff said. "IU wants me as a straight point at this point. They're trying to get me prepared for the next level. Xavier is recruiting me to replace Romain Sato. That's a big role and it means I'll probably play early. See, all the schools have pluses."
If IU leads, what can the other schools do to move up the list? "The only thing remaining with me is time. I need to see where I feel the most comfortable. Iowa is probably my last visit, where will I feel after that? I want to see how I get along with the players at Xavier. I need to see how I fit in playing."
