2017 recruit Alessandro Lever verbally committed to Dan Majerle, Grand Canyon on Tuesday, sources told Scout.
Lever, a 6-foot-8 big man, picked GCU over Georgia Tech. Lever visited Grand Canyon on March 9th and then visited Georgia Tech on March 10th.
Lever began picking up steam as a collegiate prospect at the FIBA u18 European Championship, where he played for Italy.
Through six games, Lever averaged 13.2 points and 5.8 rebound in the event. His best game came against the eventual champion -- France -- when he scored 25 points.
Lever is the second pledge of the 2017 class for Grand Canyon. He joins point guard Damari Milstead to make up their current group.
