Cuonzo Martin is finalizing a deal to become the next head coach at Missouri, sources told Scout
Martin agreed to a seven year, incentive based deal worth $21 Million.
Early Wednesday afternoon, Martin informed his team that he was taking another job. Illinois also offered Martin their head coaching position, according to a source.
Martin spent three years at Missouri State before going to Tennessee for three years, where he accumulated a record of 63-41.
Martin just finished up his third season at California, where he went 62-39 and helped the Bears to the NCAA Tournament in 2015-2016.
California assistant Wyking Jones was named the interim head coach, per a source.
