Source: Will Wade takes LSU job

LSU hired Will Wade to be their next men's basketball coach on Monday.

Will Wade has accepted the head coaching position at LSU, a source told Scout.

Wade, 34, spent the last two season at VCU, where he compiled a record of 51-20, and made the NCAA Tournament in back to back seasons.

Prior to VCU, Wade went 40-25 in two years as the head coach at UT-Chattanooga. He worked for Shaka Smart at VCU before he became a head coach.

LSU recently became available when they fired Johnny Jones after five seasons and just one NCAA Tournament.
