Thomas Allen requests a release

Elite shot maker Thomas Allen has requested his release from NC State and will see his other options

It was no surprise when Thomas Allen committed to NC State in the fall. The high level shot maker had a very good relationship with the coaches at NC State and he was from the Raleigh area. However after a year at Brewster Academy and a coaching change, Allen has opened things up.

"Thomas met with his family today and spoke with Coach (Kevin) Keatts requesting his release," said Brewster Academy Head Coach Jason Smith.

Allen is one of the best shot makers in the class with a very solid feel for the game. He continues to work to become more of a combo guard who can handle pressure, but still his biggest strength is putting the ball in the basket from deep.

Allen also had interest from NebraskaSaint Louis, and Texas A&M along with many others when he initially chose NC State.

As the best shooter now available in the 2017 class, expect a lot of inquires for Allen who plans to take his time with the process.
