It is still very early in the class of 2020, but one prospect who is making an early impact is Earl Timberlake. The versatile wing can play all over the floor, and already has a trio of offers with others entering his recruitment.
“I think the season start slow, but then I got the hang of it,” said Timberlake of his freshman season. “I had to get adjusted to big boy basketball, and by the middle of the season I picked it up.”
In terms of what he is working on to become one of the truly elite players in his class, Timberlake said, “I’ve just been working hard. I am working on everything from my handle to my jumpshot. I think my biggest strength is my versatility”
He continued, “On offense I can play one through four, and then I can also guard one through four.”
On the recruiting trail three schools have already offered with several others showing significant interest.
“Virginia Tech, Penn State, and Kansas State have offered,” said Timberlake. “Also I have interest from Xavier, Syracuse, Maryland, and Georgetown.”
While it is clearly very early for Timberlake, he says it is great to already have this early interest from so many high level schools.
“It is a blessing to get all of this interest so early,” noted Timberlake. “It shows my hard work has paid off, but I know I have to continue to work harder to keep getting more offers.”
