Makai Ashton-Langford asks out of LOI

Makai Ashton-Langford is asking UConn out of his Letter of Intent.

Four-star point guard Makai Ashton-Langford asked Connecticut out of his Letter of Intent, Brewster Academy coach Jason Smith told Scout.

The first time around, Ashton-Langford picked the Huskies over Providence and a host of other schools in the northeast.

Ashton-Langford ranks No. 31 overall and as the No. 8 point guard in the 2017 class. Outside of Trevon Duval, Ashton-Langford is now the top available point guard in the class.

With the loss of Ashton-Langford, Connecticut's class now consists of Tyler Polley and Josh Carlton.
