Xavier adds transfers Kerem Kanter

Xavier added a graduate transfer for their 2017 roster, as Green Bay big man Kerem Kanter joined the fold on Tuesday.

Green Bay transfer post player Kerem Kanter will transfer to Xavier, a source told Scout.

Kanter is the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter.

Last season Kanter averaged 11.3 points and 6.3 rebounds a game, while shooting just over 50-percent from the field.

Kanter gives the Musketeers, who made the Elite Eight this past season, immediate help in the post, as he's eligible this coming season.

Although transfers don't count in Scout's recruiting class rankings, Kanter joins Xavier's already impressive list of incoming prospects.

Their 2017 group, which ranks No. 8 in the country, includes four-star recruits Paul Scruggs, Naji Marshall and Elias Harden, as well as three-star prospects Kentrevious Jones, Jared Ridder and Junior College big man Brady Ernst.
