The Mississippi State Bulldogs have decided to grant the request of four-star center Garrison Brooks and release him from his Letter of Intent. Mississippi State made the decision on Tuesday afternoon after initially declining to do so.
Brooks, who is the son of Bulldog assistant coach George Brooks, now will become one of the most heavily recruited prospects in the spring signing period. At 6-foot-9 with good strength and solid athleticism, Brooks immediately becomes one of the best uncommitted bigs left on the board.
Initially Brooks had schools such as North Carolina and Auburn recruiting him before he chose Mississippi State. However after going through the year clearly Brooks has had a change of heart and wants to pursue other options.
Even losing Brooks, Mississippi State has a solid two man recruiting class headlined by five-star point guard Nick Weatherspoon
