It was a strong junior year at Huntington Prep for Maurice Calloo. As one of the headliners on a young and talented roster, Calloo showed off his versatility and athleticism, and now is prepared to have a big spring on the EYBL with All-Ohio Red.
"This summer I am trying to improve on my defense and then also be more efficient on the offensive end of the floor," said Calloo of his goals for the spring.
On the recruiting trail Calloo has significant interest with more schools coming in to see him.
New LSU Head Coach Will Wade made sure to reach out to Calloo shortly after getting the job, and Calloo is interested in the SEC program.
"(Wade) said he is going to watch me during the spring and summer," noted Calloo. "I think LSU could be a good fit for me because of how Coach Wade likes to play."
While USC is located far away, Calloo says it is a school that he has significant interest in.
About the Trojans, Calloo said, "I go to school at Huntington Prep and O.J. Mayo is from Huntington went to USC. I just like their program, and it is great to hear from them."
Also the Providence Friars have been recruiting him hard. Friar Head Coach Ed Cooley has said why he likes Calloo, and that they will be recruiting him hard.
"(Cooley) just loves everything about my game," noted Calloo. "He likes that I can play inside-out and how efficient that I am. So I am very interested in Providence."
Look for Calloo to see who offers in the spring and summer before setting up visits and ultimately making his college decision.
