Shooting guard C.J. Fredrick talks upcoming in-home visits

Shooting guard C.J. Fredrick is set to have a pair of in-home visits, and continues to see his recruitment expand.

An ankle injury forced C.J. Fredrick to miss a good portion of his high school season, but the shooting guard is now back in action with Indiana Elite, and is already off to a strong start this spring. Fredrick is currently set to host a pair of schools for in-home visits, and continues to see more high-major programs join his recruitment.

About the spring so far, Fredrick said, "The spring has been going well. It is great to be back with the guys, and we have a great chemistry on the court. We are just hoping to keep it going and play well in the Gauntlet."

He continued, "I am trying to do a little more off the dribble and be more consistent coming off of screens, and just being more assertive on the court."

On the recruiting trail Fredrick has offers from IowaXavierPenn State, and Nebraska. He was also offered by the old staff at Indiana.

Tuesday Fredrick will begin his-home visits with Nebraska coming in. Xavier will then make their presentation to Fredrick on Wednesday.

About the upcoming in-home with Nebraska, Fredrick said, "They are saying that they have a lot of slashers and that I would fit in nicely with them. Also they feel they have great facilities, and that they’d be a great fit for me."

Fredrick is already familiar with Xavier living only minutes from the campus, and he continues to build a good relationship with the coaching staff there. Now he is excited to host them for an in-home visit.

"We have a great relationship," said Fredrick of Xavier. "I talk to Coach (Travis) Steele almost every day. If not, it is every other day, and then I have a close relationship with Coach (Chris) Mack as well. I actually live close to Coach Steele, so it should be fun to have them in on Wednesday."

While Fredrick keeps piling up offers, he also noted that Purdue and Notre Dame have recently called to say they will be monitoring him this spring and would be continuing to build a relationship.

At this point Fredrick says he has no specific plans for when he wants to make a college decision.
