Freeman visited NC State the weekend of April 8th. The talented 6-foot-3 guard also considered Pittsburgh, Santa Clara and a host of other schools.
A native of Charlotte, Freeman averaged 9.4 points and 2.4 rebounds a game last season. During his sophomore season he put up 11.3 points a game.
Over the course of Freeman's career, he's connected on 114 three-pointers, including shooting 38-percent from three in each of the last two seasons.
Freeman, 23, will be eligible to play for Kevin Keatts immediately.
This is the second commitment and first transfer of the Keatts era for NC State. Lavar Batts, a four-star high school prospect, committed on April 1st.
