Jalen Wilson made a statement on night one of the adidas Gauntlet

FORT WORTH, Tex - It was a big night for class of 2019 wing Jalen Wilson. Already emerging as a priority recruit from the Lonestar State, Wilson proved he could be one of the nation's best forwards.

It didn't take long for class of 2019 prospect Jalen Wilson to make a big time statement on a national stage. Playing in a high level game against Ohio Basketball Club, Wilson was dominant on the wing and down low going for a game high 26 points while also pulling in seven rebounds.

About the start to the spring, Wilson said, "This is my first year on the adidas circuit and it has been a good move for me, and we are playing great basketball. I think individually I played well and I was happy to get the win."

On the recruiting trail Wilson is already a known commodity in Texas and beyond, with some of the top schools in the area showing him significant attention.

"I am hearing from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, SMU, and Baylor," listed Wilson. "I have offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU and SMU."

The Sooners have put in a lot of work with Wilson, and he has long ties to the state.

"I was born in Oklahoma so I have always been an OU fan," said Wilson. "It is a really good program and they have produced a lot of NBA players so I like that."

When it comes to Oklahoma's rivals in Stillwater, Wilson said this of the Cowboys, "It is a great program. I don’t know a ton about the new head coach, but before they had a great environment and it is a program I am interested in."

Close to home Tim Jankovich and SMU are clearly making Wilson a priority, and so far he has really liked what has been said to him by the Mustangs.

"SMU is a great environment," said Wilson. "I love being around the coaches and the campus. It is a great program."

Look for Wilson to continue to add offers and take some time with his recruitment.
