Top 70 2018 PG Devon Dotson has four schools recruiting him hardest

NEW YORK - Already entering the UnderArmour Association ranked 68tg in the 2018 class by Scout, Devon Dotson has done nothing to hurt his stock this weekend. Which four schools are recruiting him the hardest?

One of the nation’s top 2018 point guards has made an impressive impact this weekend at the UnderArmour Association.

Devon Dotson is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound point guard from Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School, who runs on the UA circuit with Team Charlotte.

Scout’s 68th ranked prospect in 2018, Dotson has a strong frame and is a gritty point guard who plays hard, can get to the basket and create for others.

“I think I attack and put pressure on the defense,” Dotson said. “I’m a quick, explosive guard. I like to make plays for others and myself. I’m still working on my outside shot, facing up the defense, playing hard and being more vocal.”

Dotson listed four schools recruiting him the hardest.

“Recruiting me the hardest are Kansas, FloridaMaryland and Arizona,” said Dotson, before he broke down what he likes about each of them.

Kansas: “It’s a historic program and their guards excel there.”

Florida: “They say they need a dynamic 2018 guard so it would be a good fit.”

Maryland: “They’re losing their point guard so it could be a great fit.”

Arizona: “They just need a point guard, they like my game and think I would fit in their style of play.”

While Dotson remains open, he has an idea of what he’s looking for in a program.

“I have no favorites right now,” he said. “I want a school that can develop me on and off the court where I have a great relationship with the coaching staff.”
