"I'm very proud to be a Zag next year," Ayayi told Scout. "I think it's a great spot for me. I will have the possibility to develop myself and make history of one of the best program ever."
Ayayi, a guard out of INSEP Academy, visited Gonzaga on April 7th and 8th. He picked the Bulldogs over Georgia Tech, who he also visited in April.
What does Ayayi bring to the table? At 6-foot-4, he has good size and length for the position. He's known for his creativity, playmaking skills and athleticism.
“I’m a point guard who can create for his teammates,” Ayayi told Scout in early April. “I love to drive and kick and I love to go to the offensive glass to grab rebounds. I like to be able to play a different type of game and be the best teammate for my team. I want to win championships.”
“I’m working on my jump shot and my handle because to be a great point guard you need that,” Ayayi added.
The Bulldogs now have a pair of commitments in the 2017 class, as Ayayi joins Scout's No. 73 overall recruit Corey Kispert to make up their current class.
