Colorado lands a quality point guard in McKinley Wright

Colorado adds a quality point guard late in the 2017 recruiting cycle.

The Colorado Buffaloes have found a player to run the show for them starting next season. Former Dayton signee McKinley Wright announced his commitment to the school following an official visit to Boulder.

Wright, who is one of the tougher point guards in the class can really get baseline to baseline in a hurry. He is also improving as a jump shooter, and has a solid feel for the game. His ability on both ends of the floor should help Wright get on the court right away as a contributor for the Buffaloes.

Initially Wright signed with Dayton, but he then opened things up when the coaching change happened at the school. After reopening his recruitment schools such as Minnesota, Marquette, and Butler all showed interest in Wright. His first official visit post opening things up was to Colorado, and that was all Wright needed to see in order to make his decision.

Look for Wright to slide in to the rotation right away as a solid floor general who scores and is a pest on defense.

With this commitment Colorado now has a very solid four-man class.
