It was a very productive weekend for Ian Steere. The athletic and physically talented Steere was very good for Team Charlotte, and with that college coaches are beginning to make Steere a priority recruit.
About his impressive spring, Steere said, "It has been a good spring. The first session was a little rough, but I got in the gym before this session, and I think I have really proven myself."
He continued, "I have worked on my perimeter defense and also my post moves. I am just trying to get better in those areas."
On the recruiting trail a long list of schools have really picked up the effort recruiting Steere.
"Louisville, Kansas, Connecticut, South Carolina, USC, and Maryland are really on me hard," said Steere. "My most recent offers are from Clemson, Creighton, Tennessee, Florida State, and Saint Joseph's.
At this point Steere says he is still in the process of figuring out the next step in his recruitment, and he isn't focused on any school or group of schools.
"I haven’t taken any visits yet," said Steere. "I am waiting to trim my list down before I go to visit any schools."
When it comes to what he is looking for in a school, Steere does have a clear focus of what he is looking for.
"Academics are the most important thing because basketball one day is going to stop, and you need to be prepared for the rest of your life," said Steere. "Also I am looking for a place where I can thrive and how I gt along with the coaches."
