William & Mary graduate transfer Jack Whitman is headed to Kansas

William & Mary transfer Jack Whitman has committed to Kansas.

William & Mary graduate transfer Jack Whitman is headed to Kansas, he told Scout.

"I committed to Kansas this morning," Whitman said.

Whitman, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound post player, played three seasons at William & Mary before opting to take the graduate transfer route. He'll be immediately eligible for his final season in 2017-18.

Whitman had a breakout junior season, averaging 10.1 points and 5.4 rebounds a game.

Whitman is Kansas' fourth transfer of the offseason. The Jayhawks previously added Memphis transfers Dedric and KJ Lawson, as well as California transfer Charlie Moore.
