High-major interest is coming in for Greg Willliams

Shooting guard Greg Williams has had a strong spring for Houston Hoops and significant high-major attention is coming his way.

It has been a solid start to the spring for Greg Williams. Running with Houston Hoops, Williams has shown his ability to get to the rim along with his solid athleticism. Now Williams is continuing to add college interest, and coaches are tracking him very closely.

"I am mainly working on my defense and being more intense on both ends of the court, and just trying to be locked in every possession," said Williams of what he is focused on.

When it comes his recruitment, Williams is taking it slow, but he continues gain more attention from high-major schools.

"UAB, Alabama, UCLA, LSU, Texas Tech and a few other schools have been recruiting me," said Williams.

Will Wade has been very active recruiting the state of Louisiana since getting the job at LSU, and Williams is one of the kids he has shown a lot of attention to.

"I have a good relationship with Coach Wade because he recruited me at VCU," said Williams of LSU. "We know each other well, and he has kept recruiting me so far at LSU, and it is a school I’m interested in."

Also LSU's SEC rival Alabama has really picked up the interest recently.

"I just started talking to them," said Williams. "We are just getting to know each other and they are telling me about their recruiting class coming in and stuff like that."

Currently Williams has no plans to make an early decision, and is focused on playing out the rest of July and seeing what schools show him the most attention.
