2018 San Diego PF Warren Washington could make early decision

Warren Washington has several options and may not take long before making a decision. Here's the latest on the 2018 San Diego prospect.

One of San Diego’s top prospects in 2018 is Warren Washington, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound power forward from San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills.

A skilled four man, Washington can face up or score around the block, rebounds his area well, is a good passer for the position and has upside due to his size and versatility.

“I’ve been working on my all-around game and balancing everything,” Washington said. “I’m happy with everything.”

Washington listed Cal, Utah, San Diego State, Iowa State, Butler, Nevada and Rice as the programs recruiting him the hardest right now, with no one standing out.

“I like them all the same,” said Washington. “I’m just looking at all my options.”

The three-star prospect has seen a few of the schools on that list already.

“I’ve visited Utah, Cal and San Diego State,” Washington said, before discussing what stood out to him on each trip.

Utah: “Great facilities, great coaching staff and fan base.”

Cal: “I like the school - how they balance everything - and the coaching staff is great.”

San Diego State: “It’s a great school, great campus and great fan base.”

Washington plans on making a relatively quick decision.

“I think I’ll have a decision pretty soon,” he said. “Probably in the next couple months. The top factors are probably school, fan base and basketball program.”
