This spring Gabe Brown got off to a little bit of a slow start with The Family, but the Michigan wing finished things off with a tremendous final game at the EYBL event in Indianapolis, and he carried it over to the Bill Hensley Memorial Run 'N Slam. In a high level opening game Brown finished with 31 points and showed his combination of athleticism, shot making, and skill.
"The spring has been amazing," said Brown. "We have been playing well as a team, and just like a family."
He continued, "I finished out strong in Indianapolis and I just tried to carry that over tonight."
On the recruiting side of things, interest has picked up in Brown since the EYBL ended last weekend.
He added, "I’ve made visits to Xavier, Michigan, Michigan State, Butler, and Oakland."
When it comes to Michigan, Brown said, "I know a lot about Michigan. I have visited a lot this year. They say I am a really good player and I remind them of Caris LeVert, and that an offer could be coming soon."
Also Michigan State has picked things up, and about the Spartans, he added, "They are saying they love my game and that they could offer soon."
Xavier has scouted Brown quite a bit, and he liked his visit to the school.
"They say I am a really good player and that I’d fit into their system and be someone who can make plays for them," noted Brown of the Musketeers.
For now Brown remains open and says he has no favorites. Look for his recruitment to explode if he continues to play like he has shown recently.
