Jeremiah Francis

2019 point guard Jeremiah Francis has heavy high major interest

2019 recruit Jeremiah Francis is emerging as a priority Midwest recruit, after a solid showing this spring.

Indiana Elite has one of the best 16’s teams in the country, which is evident by winning back-to-back adidas Gauntlet 16’s Blue Championships in Dallas and Atlanta.

One of the reasons they’ve been so successful on the court this spring is 6-foot-1, 180-pound point guard Jeremiah Francis.

“It’s been pretty good, especially after the first session in Dallas,” Francis said about his AAU season.

“I’m getting used to adidas because last year I was in the EYBL with the All Ohio Red. This is my first year with adidas Indiana Elite and I’m really lucky right now.”

The Pickerington (Ohio) Central standout is a tough, strong and physical guard. Francis aggressively looks to attack the basket, finishes well at the rim and plays particularly well through contact.

“I’m at my best when I’m penetrating and finding my teammates,” Francis said. “I’ll be scoring a little bit, just be a leader and I am a point guard. I heard people say I’m Mark Jackson with pacing. I watched a couple games on him last week and he just finds the open man and knocks down the open shots.”

Francis, the No. 10 point guard on Scout’s 2019 list, has already heard from a host of colleges.

West VirginiaTCUVirginia TechPurdueIowa and Nebraska," he said when asked who is prioritizing him. "[Schools in] the Midwest, Big 10 and Big 12.”

Francis said all of the schools he named have offered him a scholarship.
