Four-star center Trevion Williams talks his expanding recruitment

Four-star center Trevion Williams continues to be one of the more productive players in the class of 2018, and he had another good weekend at the Bill Hensley Run 'N Slam.

One of the most skilled centers in the class of 2018 is Detroit product Trevion Williams. A big man with great hands, a soft touch, and surprising skill on the perimeter, Williams had a tremendous weekend with The Family at the Bill Hensley Run 'N Slam, and continues to see his recruitment expand.

"I think I have had a good spring," said Williams of his play. "We have been practicing a lot and I’ve focused on running the floor well, and it has really helped me so far in the EYBL."

In terms of his recruitment, Williams came into the spring with offers from Michigan StateXavier, DePaul and Illinois, and recently added another from a Big Ten school.

"Purdue just offered me a couple of days ago," said Williams. "That was my most recent offer."

He continued about the Boilermakers, "They compared me to Caleb Swanigan which was a good feeling. He is a player I look up to, and I try to model my game after him."

Xavier was Williams' first high-major offer, and the Musketeers continue to make him a major priority on the recruiting trail.

"I went to their team camp last year and Coach (Travis) Steele offered me right then and there," said Williams of the Musketeers. "They have showed me a lot of love. They came to my house and talked to me and showed me how I would fit in, so it was a great feeling with them."

Also Michigan State has spent a considerable amount of time recruiting Williams, and continues to show him major attention.

"They’ve been coming to watch me work out and Coach (Tom) Izzo and Coach D.J. Stephens have been calling to check in on me every night, so it has been good with them," said Williams.

At this point Williams says he has no time frame for a decision.
