Ohio State Is Picking Up Interest In Jerome Hunter

Buckeye target and four-star forward Jerome Hunter was one of the best players at the Bill Hensley Run 'N Slam and keeps adding offers to his total.

It was an impressive weekend for Jerome Hunter at the Bill Hensley Run 'N Slam. The four-star forward shot the ball extremely well, and showed the versatility that makes him one of the top prospects in the Midwest.

About his spring overall, Hunter said, "I’ve been doing pretty good. I think I played well here at Run 'N Slam, and I am just continuing to get better, so things are going well."


Currently Hunter has a host of high-major attention. Schools such as MichiganXavierOhio StatePurduePittsburghWest Virginia, and Butler are some of the programs that have offered Hunter a scholarship.

Recently Ohio State has really picked up the interest in the local product, and he remains open to the Buckeyes.

About Ohio State, Hunter said, "They’ve been talking to me almost every day. They want me to come there, and while they have offered other people at my position, they really want me to stay home and go there."

While Ohio State recently picked things up with Hunter, Michigan has been involved for a while, and he continues to build a strong relationship with the Wolverines staff.

"Me and Coach Saddi Washington are real close," said Hunter. "We talk almost every day about life, and things outside of basketball. I like Michigan, and they have a good facility, so I am high on them."

Also Xavier has been extremely active recruiting Hunter, and the Musketeers remain very much in the picture in his recruitment.

"I am real close with Coach (Travis) Steele," said Hunter. "We talk almost every day, just about life. Also Coach Mack called me the other day and we talked for a minute which was good. I like that they have a good program with good facilities."

Also Hunter has been to Pittsburgh several times, and continues to look very closely at the Panthers.

"I’ve been to Pittsburgh a few times," said Hunter. "I have a good relationship with Dan Cage. I like Coach (Kevin) Stallings and how he develops his players."

For now Hunter remains focused on improving on the court, while continuing to build relationships with the staffs recruiting him.
