Ayo Dosunmu, A.J. Green, and Dane Goodwin led the way at Run 'N Slam

As always the Bill Hensley Memorial Run 'N Slam was loaded with top talent from all over the Midwest. Several high level players had big showings, and made an impression.

Leading an undermanned team due to injury, A.J. Green was able to put up hug numbers for the Iowa Barnstormers. The high scoring point guard shot the ball extremely well all weekend long, and also showed a good understanding of the position and made others better. Green continues to be one of the most consistent point guards in the class, and is capable of impacting the game in a variety of different ways.

Recruiting: Green has offers from Northern IowaIowa StateMinnesota, and Nebraska with interest from Ohio State and others.

It was a banner weekend for Jerome Hunter. The combo forward from Columbus showed an impressive and consistent three point shot, and then also proved he can be effective inside and rebounding wise. Hunter is solid off the dribble and does some good work in the mid-range. More of a power forward who can stretch the floor at this juncture, Hunter proved a capable rebounder and someone who can also score on the low block. Overall he was extremely consistent with his production all weekend long and led his team to the championship game.

Recruiting: Hunter has offers from Michigan, Ohio State, IllinoisPurdueCincinnatiXavierPittsburghWest Virginia, and Butler

One of the truly elite shooters in the class of 2018, Dane Goodwin was the best player for All-Ohio Red in their run to the 17 and under championship. Goodwin as always was knocking in shots form deep with consistency, but also he did more off the bounce. He was also giving effort on defense, and just being an all-around player. Still it was his big time shot making that was the difference and propelled All-Ohio Red to the championship.

Recruiting: Goodwin is a long time commitment to Ohio State

It is pretty clear that Marcus Bingham is making the transition from prospect to player, and it is happening at a rapid rate. Against some other very highly touted forwards, Bingham out performed everybody. Using his ability to shoot on offense and his length and athleticism on defense, Bingham was a consistent threat for a double-double all weekend. Add in that he has enormous upside, and it is clear he is becoming one of the best forwards in the country.

Recruiting: Bingham has offers from Michigan State, Purdue, Xavier, Butler, Missouri, and Washington

Quite simply Ayo Dosunmu is one of the best prospects and most productive players in the class. Dosunmu combines a terrific motor with elite speed and size at the point guard position. While his jumper remains a work in progress, Dosunmu showed the ability to make them off the catch this weekend. The improved jumper was good to see, but it was his consistency putting points on the board that was most impressive. There might not have been a better pure scorer as weekend than Dosunmu, who got the rim and foul line at will.

Recruiting: Dosunmu is considering Illinois, Xavier, NC StateNorthwestern, and several other programs

Indiana Elite came home with the 15 and under title at the event, and a huge reason for that was the play of Anthony Leal. Leal is good prospect on the wing who combines above-average athleticism with an excellent ability to shoot the ball. Also Leal can get to the rim some off the bounce and is very good at creating space for himself in the mid-range. There is a lot left to work on for Leal, but for a young prospect he showed well at the event.

Recruiting: Schools are just now learning about Leal
