Isaiah Mucius continues to bring in coast to coast recruiting interest

Athletic combo forward Isaiah Mucius continues to attract significant interest from coast to coast while excelling with the PSA Cardinals in the EYBL.

As usual the PSA Cardinals are one of the top teams in the EYBL, and Isaiah Mucius is a big reason why. The athletic forward is capable of scoring in a variety of ways, and also brings a lot of versatility on the defensive end.

About his spring overall, Mucius said, "I think I have been playing well. We have a great team with a lot of quality players, and we are all trying to figure out how to play together, and we are doing really well with that. Individually I think I have played very well and within the team concept."

He continued, "I am working on my ball handling and trying to get stronger. I know I won’t get super bulky like some guys, but I want to have wiry strength so I can finish through contact and also bang down low."

On the recruiting trail a lot of interest continues to come in for Mucius.

"Wake Forest, Oregon, Xavier, Connecticut, and Temple have made me a priority," said Mucius. "Also I have a few more offers like LSUPenn State, and Minnesota."

Danny Manning and the coaches in Winston Salem have made Mucius a top target this year, and Mucius really likes what the Demon Deacons have going with their program.

"I think the coaching staff that really knows what they are doing," said Mucius of Wake Forest. "They have guys who have played in the league and also guys who were great college players. I think they are a program that is really on the rise."

While Oregon is far from home, the Ducks are definitely intriguing to Mucius who feels like he could be a good fit in the Pac 12.

"They made it to the Final Four and that is a big deal," noted Mucius. "They have a great coaching staff, and I think the Pac 12 really fits my style since they get up and down the floor a lot."

Also the Xavier Musketeers have made sure to show Mucius significant target, and continue to build a strong relationship with him.

"They have a super energetic coaching staff," said Mucius of Xavier. "Coach (Chris) Mack and Coach (Luke) Murray have been great. They will be losing a lot of guys the year I would come in, so they want me to be an impact player on the wing who comes in and leads the team."

For now Mucius says he is just focused on finding the best spot for him going forward, and wants to make some visits before coming to a final decision.
