One of this weekend’s Nike EYBL breakout performers belonged to Drew Timme of ProSkills.
The 6-foot-9, 215-pound 2019 power forward from Richardson (Texas) Pearce is a skilled post who is a mismatch nightmare with his motor and ability to score attacking the basket or with his footwork.
“I’m a big man that can do it all, one through five,” Timme said. “That’s what makes me unique. I push and create for others. I’m a mismatch problem.
“I’m working on perimeter defense and expanding my game to the perimeter.”
Timme holds several offers at this point, although he remains wide open at this point.
“I like them all. It’s early for me – I’m a sophomore – I’m just going to take this all in and see what’s best for me at the end.”
The future Top 100 prospect has an idea what he’ll be looking for in a school.
“A good academic place, a system that will best benefit me and a coach who looks out for his players, that’s really important to me,” he said.
