High majors targeting 2020 wing Johnny Juzang early

SoCal's Johnny Juzang has several early offers, including a few high majors. What's the latest on the 2020 prospect's recruitment?

One of Southern California’s top 2020 prospects is North Hollywood (Calif.) Harvard-Westlake’s Johnny Juzang.

The 6-foot-6, 195-pound wing has been impressive with the Compton Magic 16u squad this spring, using his size, length and shooting ability to put points on the board.

“I pride myself on scoring and rebounding,” Juzang said. “I’m working on passing and ball handling.”

Juzang has picked up a handful of early offers, including Alabama, Arizona State and USC. He discussed what he likes about each program.

Alabama: “I like the coaching staff a lot. They have good recruits coming in so there’s good things going on there.”

Arizona State: “It’s a nice campus, nice school, they’re developing and I also like the coaches.”

USC: “I just love the campus; it’s beautiful. They have a great program with a lot of good recruits coming in. I like the coaches there a lot.”

Juzang is wide open right now but knows what he’ll be looking for in a program.

“I have a lot of time,” he said. “I’d like a high level basketball program where I can get out and run to go with coaches I really like and trust.”
