Top 70 2018 SoCal wing Devonaire Doutrive remains wide open

Devonaire Doutrive is Scout's 70th ranked 2018 prospect and has a handful of offers. Where does the four-star prospect's recruitment stand?

One of the West Coast’s top wings in 2018 is Van Nuys (Calif.) Birmingham’s Devonaire Doutrive.

The 6-foot-5, 165-pound versatile athlete is Scout’s 70th ranked prospect in the 2018 class due to his size, length, athleticism, ability to play multiple positions on both ends of the court, vision, handle and scoring prowess.

“I’m athletic, I get a lot of rebounds and I defend,” Doutrive said. “I want to get bigger, stronger faster and keep working on my jumper.”

At this point Doutrive holds offers from Arizona State, LMU, UCSB, UNLV and UTEP.

Of the schools involved, no one leads at this point.

“I’m wide open,” Doutrive said. “I know I’m going to get offers, it’s just going to take time.”

The four-star prospect has an idea of what he’ll look for in a school once his recruitment picks up.

“I’ll go wherever fits me best academically and basketball wise,” he said.
