Tre Mann

Local program stands out for emerging 2019 PG Tre Mann

Tre Mann was one of the top breakout players at the Pangos All-American Camp. Who stands out for the 2019 Florida point guard?

At the Pangos All-American Camp, one of the event’s breakout players was Tre Mann.

The 6-foot-2, 160-pound 2019 point guard from The Villages (Fla.) showed good size and the ability to create for others or knock down jumpers from deep.

“I play the pick and roll, I can dribble, I can shoot, I have a good IQ, I defend and I have sneaky explosiveness,” Mann said.

“I need to get stronger to get by quicker defenders and need to make my shot more consistent.”

Mann claimed offers from Florida, Florida State, North Florida, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Memphis, with one of those programs recruiting him hardest.

“Florida is on me the hardest,” Mann said. “It’s right around the corner, not even 20 minutes from my house. I like the coaching staff, they get the best out of their players. They have good point guards and I like their style of play.”

The rising junior said he would call the Gators his favorite at this point.

“I have to say Florida because they’re the one on me the hardest,” he said.

While Mann isn’t sure when he’ll make a college decision, he has an idea of what he’ll be looking for in a school.

“I want a good coach who will push me to the best of my ability, a winning school and I want a school that fits my style of play,” Mann said.
