During the spring Trevion Williams had a solid showing with The Family in the EYBL. Now he is continuing to get healthy, and is beginning to think about making some visits.
About the spring, Williams said, "It was a pretty good spring. My foot continues to get better. I have been icing it a lot. I feel it held me back some, but now it is getting better so that is good."
On the recruiting trail a handful of schools remain in very close contact with Williams.
Williams' first major offer came from Xavier, and the Musketeers continue to be a significant factor in this recruitment.
"I went to their team camp last summer and that is when I got my first offer," said Williams. "Coach (Chris) Mack specifically told me how I would fit in, where he would put me, and how they would use me."
He continued about Xavier, "Not many coaches explain that to you, so I really liked it, and I have a good relationship with the whole coaching staff."
Also the Purdue Boilermakers have been extremely active recently with Williams, and they have a specific plan for how they plan to use him.
"They compare me to Caleb Swanigan and he is a great player that I look up to with my game, so it is good to have them recruiting me," said Swanigan of Purdue.
At this point Michigan hasn't offered, but the Wolverines are working to get Williams to campus for a visit.
"Coach Saddi Washington has been contacting me a lot," said Williams. "I know I have to set up a visit soon so I can talk to Coach Beilein."
Also Michigan State has long been involved with Williams, and the Spartans are hoping to get Williams back to campus soon.
"Coach D.J (Stephens) and Coach (Tom) Izzo have been asking me when I am going to come up," said Williams. "I’ve been kind of busy so I haven’t had a chance, but I know I am going to get to Michigan State soon."
Look for Williams to make several more visits before coming to a final decision on his college future.
