"I liked it a lot," said Leunen. "It was my first trip to L.A., so it was a new experience for me."
We asked Leunen if location -- specifically, the difference between Los Angeles and the Pacific Northwest environment of his other three finalists -- would play a role in his decision.
"Not really, said Leunen. "It would be a change for me, but that could be good. But it won't be a big factor."
We asked Leunen about his impressions of the UCLA staff.
"They have a great staff," said Leunen. "Coach Howland seems like a cool guy and he's got three very good assistants. With what he did at Pittsburgh, it could be a very good place for me."
We asked Leunen about his experience during the weekend and he replied, "We toured the campus, went to the football game and played in a pickup game with fourteen pros. Magic Johnson, Paul Pierce...it was an awesome experience."
Leunen visited UCLA with Malik Hairston and we asked about their relationship.
"I got along really good with Malik," said Leunen. "I played with him at Nike, so we already knew each other."
Leunen said he definitely plans on taking all four of his trips before making a decision.
"I'll take all my trips and then decide shortly after the last trip," said Leunen.
