Mt. St. Mary's Lands No. 3

Milan Brown's Mount St. Mary's program is out of the gates quickly. They recently took their third commitment of the year.

Jason Loughry, a center was the first commitment. Joe Gates, another center but this time from the opposite coast, was No. 2. Then, this week, Milan Brown and Mt. St. Mary's struck again.

Chris Vann, a talented and highly decorated guard from Woodbridge (VA) Gar-Field, committed to the program after hearing from Longwood, Sacred Heart and Wisconsin-Green Bay.

"My family and I and the coaching staff discussed it," Vann said. "Academically and basketball wise and they would allow me to play the wing. I'm used to the two. They were telling me that they wouldn't try to force me to play the point. They know I'm capable of scoring."

And capable he is.

As a junior, he torched the nets for 20.8 points a game. He was named the conference player of the year and NW Region POY. He was first team all-state according to the Virginia Coaches' Association and a fourth team all-met selection.
