Osby's First Visit Is West

Bombale Osby is taking his first official visit Sept. 27. The warrior forward from Benedictine High is heading west, as in a Mountain West visit.

Last weekend, Bombale Osby was down in Durham, N.C., for an open gym with some college coaches in attendance. Though a number of programs were there, his leader wasn't present.

Ritchie McKay and the New Mexico Lobos occupy the driver's seat right now and the power forward will be in Albuquerque the weekend of Sept. 27 for his first official visit.

So, how did the Lobos make their move? "I liked the coach and I'm just liking the program," Osby said. "It's going good."

Virginia Tech is likely to set up a visit date with him but hasn't offered yet. He's interested in Georgia as well but no offer is on the table. Osby said that he's hearing from Western Kentucky, Boston University, College of Charleston and East Carolina.

He's probably about 6-6 and he's definitely a power forward. However, if he picks the right level, the size won't matter. The guy is a warrior. There's no quit in his game and when the going gets tough he just battles.
