Henry Will Visit Big Ten

Chris Henry is considering schools in the Big Ten, Pac-10, Ivy League and Big West...

Chris Henry, 6-9 SR C Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, told us recently that he's considering four schools.

"Washington State, UC Santa Barbara, Northwestern and Penn," said Henry.

Washington St. hosted Henry on an official visit the weekend of September 5th. Northwestern will have Henry in for an official visit on October 4th.

"I went to Santa Barbara on an unoffical visit, since it's so close," said Henry.

We asked Henry for his impressions so far of the schools he's considering.

"I liked the trip to Washington St.," said Henry. "I like the coaches. Coach Bennett is a very good coach -- I know all about his reputation as a coach."

Henry went on to say, "I also like Coach Williams at Santa Barbara. He's a great coach and I like the campus. Coach Carmody seems like a very nice guy and I'll get to know him better on my trip."

Henry has had an in-home visit with Santa Barbara. He said he may or may not have an in-home with Washington St. "My Dad went with me on the trip, so I'm not sure an in-home is really necessary," said Henry.

Henry said he thinks he'll sign in November. "I'm not locked in to signing in the fall, but I'd like to play my senior year without worrying about recruiting."
