On Wednesday, Jim Harrick received a commitment from a swingman from the state of Georgia. The commitment is Harrick's second of the year and the second player from the state of Georgia to pledge his allegiance to the Dawgs.

Arnold To Play In The SEC

Wayne Arnold has won some basketball games in his three year career at Lilburn (GA) Berkmar. His team, while consistently being ranked among the Top 25 teams in the country the past few years, enters the season as the defending back-to-back state champions in the Peach State. On Wednesday, he made a college commitment.

"He committed today," Arnold's mom told InsidersHoops.com. "We are pretty happy with his decision."

According to the family, Arnold selected the Dawgs over the Clemson Tigers. "I'm not really sure what won him over but I think it had to do with coach Harrick," Arnold's mother said.

Georgia now has commitments from Arnold and Top 30 big man Alexander Johnson. Arnold is noted for his perimeter game, which extends to three-point range and will probably contribute at both the shooting guard and small forward positions.
