Shipp Still Looking

Josh Shipp took a trip to UCLA this past weekend. Is he any closer to making a decision?

We spoke with Josh Shipp, 6-4 SR SG Los Angeles (Calif.) Fairfax, last night after he returned from an official visit to UCLA.

"I like the campus," said Shipp. "It's a beautiful campus -- doesn't get much better than that."

Shipp has now taken official visits to Oregon and UCLA, with an official visit to Washington scheduled for October 10th.

We asked Shipp if he felt he was getting close to making a decision and he replied, "It could be October, but I might even wait until November. It won't be in the next couple days."

We asked Shipp to discuss the positives he sees with each school he's considering.

"With Washington, it's definitely the player/coach relationship -- I really like Coach Romar," said Shipp. "With Oregon, it's the facilities and style of play. And with UCLA, they're in a rebuilding stage, it's close to home and I think, with the class they already have, we could do some damage."

Shipp said immediate playing time is not really an issue. "They each have a spot open," said Shipp. "All the coaches said I could play if I work hard," said Shipp.
