Morrow Process In Final Stages

Wednesday is the day Anthony Morrow sits down with his inner circle and starts making some difficult choices. We caught up with the Top 100 prospect the evening before the big day.

Anthony Morrow and Charlotte Latin coach Jerry Faulkner had a plan and are in the final stages of execution. We knew all along that Morrow would take four visits, sit down with his coach shortly thereafter and reach a timely decision.

On Wednesday, the process enters its final stages. "It's going really well right now. [On Wednesday] I'm sitting down with coach Faulkner and my mom. It's not the official make a decision day but we're going to talk about the visits."

Charlotte, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and North Carolina State are his four schools and though there are whispers of movement of schools on his list, Morrow says no one has been removed to date. "Actually, I haven't [cut anyone]. All four schools are even. Things are starting to clear up a little bit but it's still going to be a tough decision. They're all good schools."

Meanwhile, things are happening at each program. Commitments are starting to come at a rapid pace. Morrow isn't trying to elongate the process and probably needs just a few more days so he likely won't feel much pressure from the schools on his list as they know his drill by now.

"They pretty much know how me and coach Faulkner and my mom are doing things. None of these four schools … I don't think they would [pressure me now]. If they did, I guess we'd just have to wait and see."

At this point, Morrow has tunnel vision and it's about making a decision.

"Coach said it's like this and who I marry. That's what he told me. It's one of the biggest decisions."

Throughout the process, Faulkner has been a guiding light for Morrow. "He's helped me with everything since day one. He's been looking out and making sure I do everything the right way. He's really organized and that's rubbed off on me."
