Rondo's Visits To Begin

Oak Hill point guard Rajon Rondo is about to start taking some official visits and he's not limiting himself geographically either. His first trip is out west.

After finishing up a junior season in which he was a first-team all-stater and averaged 27 points a game, Rajon Rondo pointed himself in the direction of Mouth of Wilson, Va., and headed for Oak Hill. He'll be the point guard for the Mighty Warriors this fall.

Over the weekend, Rondo was back in Louisville and met with Dennis Felton of Georgia. The Bulldogs are among four schools he's considering right now. Southern Cal, Louisville and Clemson are the others.

Rondo said that he'll begin his official visit slate with a trip to Southern Cal this coming weekend. His next stop is likely to be Louisville around Oct. 18 and he'd like to get to Georgia within the month.

Will he decide early? "I'm going to try to but I don't think I will [decide early]. It all depends, I don't know yet." Rondo might be feeling out the interest level in his game. There's no doubt that he's thinking more schools will get involved if he waits until late.

His requirements? Simple. "A great coach, great program and a good social life."
