Thomas Coming Down Stretch

At this very moment, Charles Thomas can rattle off his schools preferences 1-2-3. The power forward is visiting an SEC program this weekend that will shape his decision.

Charles Thomas of Jackson (MS) Callaway is about to visit Arkansas this weekend. Thomas (No. 45, has been to Oklahoma, Florida State and Georgia. He's got a pretty good idea of where he stands at this moment in the process.

"Right now, I've got my thing down to three schools. Florida is No. 1, Arkansas is No. 2 and Georgia is No. 3," Thomas said.

We'll be able to read a lot about the Arkansas visit and where he stands by what happens after this weekend. Should he really enjoy the Hogs visit and in turn watch Arkansas catch up to FSU on his list, he'll visit the school again unofficially for Midnight Madness.

If the Arkansas visit is good, but not great and does little to improve their chances, he'll likely pick the Seminoles shortly after the trip.

Georgia had a very good visit, but right now is still chasing the other programs. "If I went to Georgia I feel like I could come in and start. That's how I feel about the situation with Georgia."

While some prospects are finding the going rough at this point in their process, Thomas is exactly the opposite. It's smooth sailing for the forward who exemplifies a Charles Oakley style of play.

"Right now it's kind of narrowing down to be very easy."

We'll see if that changes in the next week.
