Roby Looking To Buff Up

The Colorado Buffaloes needed a little athleticism on the wing. On Wednesday, they got exactly what they needed.

San Bernadino, Calif., native Rich Roby spent the last two years on the east coast at Lawrence Academy.

In the fall of 2004 Roby won't get all the way home, but he'll get closer. On Wednesday, Roby committed to the Colorado Buffaloes over Virginia Tech, Iowa State and Kansas State.

"It was definitely one of the reasons why I picked it but it wasn't the reason," Roby said of his decision to move closer to his native California.

Roby averaged over 20 points a game last season and had a significant accomplishment in July when he was named to the adidas ABCD Camp All-Star Game and scored 5 points in the contest.

Now, the swingman is charged with a big task. Helping the Buffaloes land Top 20 junior Andre McGee. "Hopefully, I'm going to try and get him and get him interested. His brother is there now."
