Tyndale Will Wait Until Spring

Mark Tyndale was one of those guys that did well for himself at the Big Time in July. Now, he's hearing from a number of Philly-area programs.

Last season, 6-4 small forward Mark Tyndale was an all-league performer at Simon Gratz. Tyndale said that he averaged 18 points a night for the Philly powerhouse.

He ran a lot of small forward this summer but has visions of playing a different position this year. "I want to play the one and the two," Tyndale said. "As I got older I got bigger and the guys in Philadelphia ain't that big so you have to play out of position a lot."

So far, he's heard from Temple, LaSalle, Rhode Island and Villanova. Clemson and N.C. State have called on him as well.

He's already taken the SAT but has visits scheduled. He's re-taking the test again in November.

"I'm not going to decide early. My grade average is pretty good. I want to be eligible for any college in America, that's my goal. I want to weigh my options and see what schools need me and what schools don't."

Chances are, as the year drags on, he'll have even more suitors.
