Tech Caps 2002 Recruiting Year
Theodis Tarver, an AAU veteran of both the Louisiana Stars and Shreveport Bossier Select, made a college decision this weekend.
"I'm going to Georgia Tech. I just liked the environment. It was a good atmosphere. I committed this week," Tarver said.
The 6-9 big man from Monroe (LA) Carroll picked the Yellow Jackets over Mississippi and Louisiana State. Both had offered. He's the third and final recruit in Paul Hewitt's class. He joins PG Jarrett Jack and PF Chris Bosh in Hewitt's class. Tech signed five players last year and according to the NCAA mandate, they are only allowed to sign three this year.
"Georgia Tech was more like a family than a team," Tarver said.
