Watt Visits, Makes Decision

Gordon Watt took a visit this weekend and it was all he needed to see in order to decide. On Sunday, Watt opted to make a commitment.

On Sunday, word came down officially that Boston College would be joining the ACC. Later that day, Evanston (IL) Evanston Township swingman Gordon Watt said he'd be joining Boston College.

"It's a nice fit," Watt said of the Eagles. "That's what I was looking for and I found it."

Last season, Watt averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds but offensive numbers aside, Watt has carved out quite a reputation for himself on the defensive side of the ball. At the 2003 Pangos All-American Camp, he was awarded a spot in the main all-star game based largely on the defensive job he did on Dorell Wright, a DePaul commitment and Top 20 2003 prospect.

"I see myself fitting in well [at Boston College]. "Defensively, I play an aggressive style and I'll bring a lot to the table and I think they see that. I'll keep working hard and I'll get better."

Watt said that he was looking at Marquette and Illinois State.
